Ingredients:
- 4 pounds ground beef (80/20 or leaner)
- 3 15oz cans of chili beans
- 4 cups (4 8oz Cans) of tomato sauce
- 1 12oz can diced tomatoes with chilies
- 1 packages (1.25oz) of low sodium chili mix
- Small onion chopped
- 1/4 cup sliced jalapenos
- 2 tablespoons of chili powder (Optional if desired)
Brown ground beef in cast iron skillet.
Cut and turn the beef until it is no longer pink.
Drain fat using a colander.
Wash the brine from the sliced jalapenos and chop them.*
Add all ingredients to large stock pot.
Simmer and stir for 30 minutes.
Taste and add chili powder if necessary.
serve with oyster crackers and peanut butter celery.
*This will reduce the heat from the peppers a bit so this is optional.
